Our humble dwellings float on pillars among the trees in the foothills of El Yunque rainforest.
The Treehouses at Yuquiyú are inspired by the small, wooden houses common in Puerto Rico over a century ago. Built on the side of a canyon, our humble dwellings float on pillars among the trees in the foothills of El Yunque rainforest. A footbridge leads from the trail to floor level, avoiding the need for a ladder or stairway. The main room is a 12' x 12' square with windows opening onto expansive views of the tropical garden. A balcony offers a panorama of the rainforest and a view of our cascading river. The treehouses are set in one of the most scenic parts of the property — an outcropping of massive boulders. Above are three terraces that produce organic herbs, vegetables and fruits; below is the canyon and the river. Our rustic retreat is a place to reawaken the senses in harmony with nature. Photos.
