Too bad Ponce de Leon didn’t look for the Fountain of Youth right in his own backyard…
He might have discovered Yuquiyú.
The Treehouses at Yuquiyú are inspired by the small, wooden houses common in Puerto Rico over a century ago. Built on the side of a canyon, our humble dwellings float on pillars among the trees in the foothills of El Yunque rainforest. A footbridge leads from the trail to floor level, avoiding the need for a ladder or stairway. The main room is a 12' x 12' square with windows opening onto expansive views of our healing garden. A balcony offers a view of a cascading river and a panorama of the rainforest. The treehouses are set in one of the most scenic parts of the property — an outcropping of massive boulders. Above are three terraces that produce organic herbs, vegetables and fruits for our curative kitchen; below is the canyon and the river, where swimming in a natural pool is a rejuvenating experience. Come play in a treehouse and reawaken your senses in harmony with nature. Photos.
